The 2016 Civic Coupes joins the ranks of the 2016 Civic Sedan, 2016 Accord Sedan, 2016 Accord Coupe, 2016 CR-V, and 2016 Pilot SUV, which all earned the 2016 IIHS Top Safety Pick rating when equipped with Honda Sensing.
In order to earn the "plus" rating, vehicles earn the top score of "Good" for all five crash assessments including small and moderate overlap frontal collisions, side impacts and roof crush protection. Furthermore, the vehicle must offer an available front crash prevention system that earns a score of ADVANCED or SUPERIOR. Passing both the 12 mph and 25 mph tests without a collision, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe earned a SUPERIOR rating.
