At Carson Honda, the Honda Civic is one of our top-selling models. You probably see a lot of them as you're commuting on the 405, and that comes as no surprise. For decades the Honda Civic has been a popular choice because drivers appreciate the model's longevity, strong list of standard and available features, and, in recent years, its eye-catching style.

For 2019, the Honda Civic Sedan and Honda Civic Coupe are getting some very exciting updates that you'll be eager to show off! Let's check a few of them out.

Looks & Style

When the 2016 Honda Civic models arrived, drivers from the Carson area and beyond fell in love with the more aggressive styling. Honda designers are continuing that design language for the mid-cycle refresh. You'll notice a new bumper, available blacked-out headlights for more edge, and on the trims that have LED headlights there's a new lighting layout.

Inside you'll notice the volume knob is back in business! While this might seem like a "is that really a big deal?" update, current Honda drivers who have a vehicle that only uses touch for controlling the volume didn't think it was as fast or user-friendly as possible. The steering wheel controls have also been updated for easier use, and for styling features you'll find different accent-materials across the dash.

A New Trim

The Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe trim lineups are already extensive, but for 2019 they'll be another option. The new Sport trim will be slotted between the base LX and EX. As the name suggests, the Sport will have a fun 2.0L engine (a 6-speed manual is standard, or you can get a CVT to drive around Carson) and edgier looks. We're all about the 18-inch wheels, painted spoiler, and glossy black paint trim. The inside also follows style-suit with aluminum sport pedals, faux-leather and cloth upholstery, and red gauges.

Standard Safety

Another big change for the upcoming 2019 Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe is that Honda Sensing® will be standard on all trims! Whether you're in familiar Carson or traveling up and down California, you can feel confident with these advanced safety technologies backing you up. This update really helps the Civic stand out against competing vehicles with its standard safety package of driver assistance and collision avoidance technologies.
